Dillion Boudreaux—Performing Arts & Band

Mr. Boudreaux’s got the music in him! He was a former member of the Pride of Acadiana, UL’s marching band. His experience with band spans area high schools including STM, Erath, and Acadiana High. He will be directing the CHS Panther Band and teaching band enrichments and Math.

Toyia Kidder—ELA

We all know and love Ms. Toyia who has been with us many years as our Title I interventionist and as a CHS parent. She now will be with us full time, teaching middle school English Language Arts. Her existing connection with our school and our families will give her an advantage as she comes into the core classroom with a focus on student success.

Adam Louviere—Facilities

Mr. Louviere is a New Iberia native who will be working with facilities, manning our bus route, and assisting with football and softball. He previously served as an assistant football coach and as a paraprofessional at a number of local schools. His brother John taught here a while back.

Trey Provost—Social Studies

Currently living in Lafayette Parish, Mr. Provost is a Loreauville High graduate. We are glad he is turning in his tiger stripes and becoming a panther! He brings experience from the business world and teaching and coaching experience at the middle school and high school levels, most recently at Teurlings Catholic.

Erina Walden—World Languages

Bonjour! and Hola! to Ms. Walden who hails from Texas (which is nowhere near Walden Pond!), and she is engaged to a gentleman from Acadiana. She has been working in Lafayette Parish with a degree in French and a minor in Spanish. She is excited about the opportunity to share her strong Catholic faith with her students both in and out of the classroom.

New roles for  familiar faces:

Mrs. Amber Salsman

is a 1998 CHS grad and mom of 3 current Panthers. She began working with us last year by assisting Dr. Voorhies, subbing, and helping with lunch deliveries. Over the summer, she took over our reception area in the Main Office and ran our Swap Shop. We are thrilled that Mrs. Amber will be staying on with us in those same roles for the 2021-2022 school year.

Mrs. Paula Bellman

has served as our Elementary Administrative Assistant for the last four years. This year, she will also serve in that role for the Middle School Building and assume the responsibilities of LHSAA Coordinator.

Mrs. Ronilane Gonsoulin

will remain as our Administrative Assistant for the High School building but will also be responsible for attendance for students in all grade levels.  Please communicate with her regarding all doctor’s excuses and student illness.

Last, but certainly not least,

Mrs. Katie Hidalgo

will assume the role of Assistant Dean of Students. Coach Katie begins her 6th year teaching at Catholic High, and her 2nd year utilizing her ACE Certification in her work with our Athletic P.E. classes. Her role this year will allow her to utilize her expert classroom management skills to support teachers and students.
