Advent Missions

Advent is the season of hope and joyful preparation for the coming of Jesus. The Advent Season is the start of a new church year. This year it begins on Sunday, November 28th. During this season, we want to share our hope and joy with others. Therefore, as a school we have decided to carry out 2 projects in service to others. The first project will be to participate in a toy drive sponsored by the New Iberia Police Department. The Second project will be to collect donations for the Disch-DeClouet Social Service Center. To make things easier and to insure that the Disch-DeClouet Social Service Center receives a good variety of items, categories of donations will be divided up by grade levels.

Students can bring their donations to the front office or they can be dropped off in the car line from November 29 - December 13. We thank you in advance for helping our students to be witnesses to Christ and encouraging them to “Clothe the Naked” and “Feed the Hungry”, which are Corporal Works of Mercy and helping them understand the importance of living like Jesus and serving others, no matter how big or small the service may be.
