ISN Support Facilitator

Job Overview
The ISN Instructor of Catholic High of New Iberia, LA will help the Guidance Counselor shape, design, and implement strategies and programs to assist students who are in need of intervention in all subjects, and implement individual goals for student growth and success. This person must be an energetic person who will help to lead, sustain, and grow the individual student needs program at CHS for grades 4 through 12. The ISN Instructor is responsible for maintaining students records and student observations and for assisting with student accommodation implementation. The ideal candidate is a strong, collaborative leader possessing the skill, determination, and work ethic to fulfill the vision of the school set forth by the Chancellor, Principal, and school leadership. 

Reports to: Guidance Counselor

Essential Job Functions:

  • Organizes Testing/Grade Data for ISN Priority Level students 
  • Coordinates ISN program with teachers and serves as liaison to facilitate program with teachers/parents  
  • Schedules and implements testing accommodations for students (4-12)
  • Coordinates materials and training for effective implementation of ISN resources for all subjects. 
  • Coordinates Quarterly ISN meetings to check progress on students and to enter/exit students into the program. 
  • Assists implementation of ISN services and student accommodations 
  • Implements and oversees Professional Development to enhance training for ISN program and redelivers necessary information to faculty and staff. 
  • Works in conjunction with Title I staff to ensure ISN student success on campus.

ISN Instructor should possess:

  • A bachelor’s degree with certification in special education or related field, and at least 5 years working experience in a SPED and/or school resource setting.
  • An understanding of and belief in Catholic High’s mission and vision, as well as the goals of its long-range plan
  • A commitment to developing and maintaining a climate hospitable to education and a Christ-focused school culture 
  • A commitment to providing positive support to the school and its leadership
  • Availability to work events outside school hours as needed
  • An acknowledgement and understanding of best practices in the field of special education.
  • An understanding of the importance of supporting student accommodations.
  • An understanding of and appreciation for all facets of school life

  • Capacity and desire to perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.
