SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Pride of the Panther Scholarships

(Internal Assistance)

The Catholic High Admissions Committee developed the Pride of the Panther Scholarship to award two students that are expected to join the Panther family and live by the CHS motto, Acta Non Verba, or “Actions Not Words.” The student's admissions packet, shadow day teacher evaluation, and interview will all be taken into consideration when picking the recipients.

Interested applicants must first complete the Catholic High admissions process. This means that an applicant must have applied and been accepted as a student at CHS. Applicants must also be in good academic standing and have a clean discipline record. Financial need is a consideration, but not a requirement.

SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS:

  • ½ off base tuition
  • Administered to one boy and one girl
  • Applications open on March 1st
  • Submission due by April 30th

Ace Scholarships

LOUISIANA (External Assistance)

An ACE Scholarship is worth a maximum of $4,200 per year for grades K-8 and $4,500 for grades 9-12. Scholarship cannot exceed the full amount of tuition and fees at the school. The families are responsible for working out a payment plan with the school for the remainder of the tuition.

Applications are currently open and must be submitted by the end of Monday, April 15th. An application form will need to be filled out, parents will need to upload proof of income and proof of residency documents, and submit review applications.

Keep in mind that submitting a qualifying application does not guarantee the fund; the application is first come, first served, as long as funding is available. Catholic High has an open admissions policy, yet applicants must be deemed academically qualified and have a positive behavior record to be offered admission. Catholic High School reserves the right to deny any potential student even if they have received funding through the scholarship that does not.

ACE will notify any new applicants about their scholarship status in May.

WORK STUDY PROGRAM

Families of students in grades 4-12 may qualify for tuition assistance through the Work Study Program. An application must be completed and submitted to FACTS between January 1 and March 31 annually, to apply for grants for the following year. Notification of acceptance to the program will be made by June of each year. Assistance through this program will be based on need, will be awarded on a one-year basis, and will not be automatically renewable. THE WORK-STUDY PROGRAM IS NOT A SCHOLARSHIP.

The Catholic High School Advisory Council appoints a committee to serve in making recommendations to administration for the work-study program. This committee will report the selection of participants to the principal, who will then inform parents of the students selected. The decisions of the committee will be final.
