Spiritual Growth – Charism of CarmelThe foundations of Catholic High are attributable, in part, to the Religious orders who shared their convictions and abilities so generously with our community. We hold fast to the words of truth expressed by Carmelites of the past, in a present time filled with distraction and secularism, for we know that joy is only possible through God. "I wouldn't consider any spirituality worthwhile that wants to walk in ease and run from the imitation of Christ." St. John of the Cross

Lasallian Service Requirements |
Lasallian Service InformationCome, O blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food. I was thirsty, and you gave me drink. I was a stranger and you welcomed me. I was naked, and you clothed me. I was sick and you visited me. I was in prison and you came to me. Truly, I say to you, as you did it to the least of these my brethren, you did it to me." (Matthew 25:34)Catholic High School is grateful for the ideals of our Lasalllian heritage and wishes to remain united with the efforts of the Christian Brothers to serve in the manner of their founder, St. John Baptiste DeLaSalle. DeLaSalle recognized the pain of the poor and heard their cry for help. He understood the poverty, ignorance, and oppression led to crime, sin, and destruction. Jesus warned against holding wealth while others suffer. In the course of the school year, students in grades 7-12 are expected to complete an assigned number of hours of Lasallian Service.
