CHARITABLE GIVING OPPORTUNITIES

With an increasing number of inquiries from alumni/ae, friends, benefactors and  foundations, Catholic High School has developed the following list of charitable giving opportunities which may assist persons interested in one-time gifts or planned giving.  Contact Jamie Nelson-Hebert, C.H.S. Development Director, at 337-364-1253 or at for further information regarding gift-giving.

Academic Departments
Donations may be directed to the department or course of study of choice. One of the major focuses in professional development for teachers is hands-on, innovative learning. Gifts received are used for department/course enhancements that will allow for this focus and benefit students. Departments are: Elementary, Middle School,  English, Science, Mathematics, Business/Computers, Physical Education, Fine Arts, Religion, Foreign Language, Social Studies, and Technology.

Co-curricular Support
Activities associated with academic competition: Science/Social Studies Fairs; Speech and Debate Team; Math Tournaments; Science Club; Rally Team;  Good Behavior Incentives for 4th-8th grades; Standardized Testing Reward Day for 4th-8th grades

Chapel Fund
The recent construction of a new, centrally located chapel has been a great addition to the school. It allows students to visit the chapel between classes and before and after school. It has also allowed us to hold weekly Masses for our different grade levels. Donations to the chapel fund will allow for on-going improvements.

Athletics
Donations may be directed to any individual athletic program (i.e. football, soccer, baseball, tennis, etc.) or to the general athletic fund which contributes to continued upgrades to our facilities.

Diversity Tuition Assistance Fund
The newly established Diversity Tuition Assistance Fund assists Catholic High School in offering a Catholic education to all Catholics regardless of color.

Golden Endowment Memorials
Golden endowment memorials are memorial gifts directed to the Catholic High School Endowment Fund in lieu of flowers.  Families wishing their departed loved ones to be remembered in perpetuity name the Endowment Fund in loved ones’ obituaries.  Recognition of Golden Endowment benefactors is made each year at the school-wide All Saints Day Mass.

Teacher Benefits Trust Fund
The Teacher Benefits Trust Fund is one that will allow Catholic High School to remain competitive in the educational arena and attract qualified teachers.  Donations to this fund will be invested perpetually with the interest paying for benefits and bonuses for our teachers that will help C.H.S. offer the best possible work atmosphere, salary, and benefits.

Catholic High School Endowment Fund
This fund which has been in existence since 1981 has seen great growth in the past six years. The trust is one whose earnings will not be touched until the fund reaches the $2 million mark.

Non-endowed Scholarships
These named scholarships involve restricted annual donations that, in turn, will be awarded to Catholic High School students who meet the criteria you set.

Endowed Scholarships
Named scholarships can be made available to students attending Catholic High School.  The money donated will be permanently invested and interest earned from these gifts will be applied to the tuition of worthy students who are in need, have completed required paperwork, and been selected to receive a C. H. S. Endowed Scholarship.
MINIMUM $10,000.00  DONATION

Facility Naming Opportunities
With continued improvements being made to the Catholic High School educational facility, supporters with charitable giving in mind may wish to have their family, or business name, remembered through the naming of a classroom, laboratory, wing or building. FACILITY NAMING OPPORTUNITIES BEGIN AT THE CLASSROOM LEVEL WITH A MINIMUM DONATION OF $50,000.00
