What is ParentsWeb?
ParentsWeb is Catholic High's school-to-home communication portal. Catholic High uses RenWeb as its Student Information System. The program allows us to dynamically keep track of student data and enables fast communication via email, phone, and Internet. ParentsWeb is simply the name for the home login portion for both parents and students. What is it for?
ParentsWeb allows for students and parents to have separate logins to view grades, discipline, attendance, lessons, homework, classroom web pages, and family demographics. Separate logins are absolutely necessary because parents can also view family financial information and make updates to demographics records as information changes. Students, on the other hand, have access to classroom homework drops and online testing. Is it secure?
Absolutely! Note that the URL for logging in is https, which indicates a secure http link. Parents can only view information for their own child(ren). Children, even siblings, can only view their own information. Individuals are responsible for keeping their own user names and passwords secret. What are the system requirements to use ParentsWeb?
ParentsWeb is browser and platform independent. This means it will work on a Mac or a PC as long as it has an up-to-date browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Chrome, etc.) installed and an Internet connection available. How do I set up an account?
When you register at Catholic High, you are asked to submit email addresses for each parent and student. Each individual's email address must be unique. Students already attending Catholic High who have not accessed their account or previously submitted an email address should contact renweb@chspanthers.com with a formal request (including a full name and grade level) to submit their address. Once your email address has been entered into our database, your account is ready for set up.
Note that the link will only be active for 15 minutes. Should you fail to use it within the allotted time frame, simply repeat the steps above. How do I login?
Once you have setup your account using the secure link emailed to you, you will use the
How do I change my password?
You can change your password with a few clicks.
What if I lose or forget my password?
We all know it happens, so ParentsWeb makes it easy to retrieve a lost or forgotten password without ever having to contact the school.
How do I change my family demographic information?
This privilege is reserved for Parent Login only. Once logged in with your parent account, the Family Demographic Form can be accessed by clicking "Web Forms" under School Information. Once you have accessed the form, you have the ability to change contact information such as phone numbers, addresses, and email addresses. If you would like to request that the school make changes, email them to renweb@chspanthers.com with details about the child(ren) to which they apply (name and grade level). How do I enter vehicle information?
Parking on campus is a privilege, not a right. Vehicle information is maintained for the purpose of student parking permits. Therefore, it is the student's responsibility to enter their vehicle information each year before they are allowed to purchase a permit. Vehicle information is cleared from the database each summer before parking permits become available. In order to obtain a parking pass, STUDENTS must:
Parking passes will not be issued to students without this information. Students who obtain their licenses during the school year may still obtain a permit by completing the information. Students who have not created or accessed their accounts should email renweb@chspanthers.com to have their email addresses entered into the database. Students who have forgotten their password should see above for information on how to retrieve it. |
